So why is it called “Craft Your Life”?

The principles of crafting reminds me how a craftsperson approaches a piece of work.  He carefully consider what he wants, makes a start, experiments, refines his ideas, keeps going, often messes it all up, restarts, revisions, refines……and keeps on going.

Its the creative process by which all things are governed. Its non linear and however much we like to control life, it is an emergent process. We have to understand the nature of creativity and embrace the fact that we might have a clear vision of how we would like our life, but we have to let go, enjoy the ride and be open to the juicy possibilities on the way.

Creativity in our lifes also opens our brain to a fuller potential. Modern life has overvalued the left brain, logical, controlled approach, but our right brain has sooo much to offer.  Have you ever noticed that when you doodle, shower, walk, mix a cake or dig the garden, that your brain is often freed up to see problems from a different angle or generates new ideas?

Our left brain (logic) is connected to our right brain (creative) by the corpus callosum and being able to move  and weave across it, enables us to come up with creative, diverse ideas and put them into action!

Over the coming months and years, practice exercises, resources, links and generally good stuff will start to appear on this website which is aimed to be accessible for all people.
